Construction:
Progress is being made. Builders are enclosing the building and are working on exterior finishes including masonry and steel panel veneers along with windows. Interior sheetrock is being hung and texture and taping is occurring in Area 1 (police areas). Membrane roofing is almost complete as we focus on the fire station exterior building envelope (Area D). High efficiency building HVAC systems and duct work are being installed and we are working on the site with parking and drive access paving and landscaping going in on the  south side. Work this winter will focus on the interior with sheetrock, electrical and security access control systems being completed in Area A. The project is expected to be completed by July 1, 2022.

Lighting:
All lighting is specified to be full cut-off and dark skies compliant and meets the requirements of the city’s development code. The city requested no deviations.

Noise:
Fire Stations 1&2 are located adjacent to neighborhoods and the firefighters are aware of how noise from sirens can impact quality of life. Both police and fire use their sirens only when necessary to follow state law, department policy and to provide for public safety.
