August 6 -NENA Virtual Meeting Agenda
-------------------------------
From INC rep Suzanne Held:

I am your representative to the interneighborhood council (INC). INC will not be meeting this month. We did receive some news to pass along:

We have a new Neighborhoods Program Coordinator, Dani Hess. Dani previously worked at Western Transportation Institute and was involved in several pop up traffic calming projects in our neighborhoods. Here is a link to a brief video of Dani introducing herself to us.

We'd like to encourage you to share stories of neighborliness on Nextdoor in this time of sequestration. I have been going outside at 8pm to howl and am loving howling across the street with my neighbor Holly and her family.

The CleanUp day that was originally scheduled for Saturday April 25th, was cancelled. The crew at City of Bozeman Solid Waste has been generous with their time and resources and offered to home-deliver kits of yellow bags, gloves (these usually are included, but they may not be due to COVID shortage) , and instructions to folks who reach out to them directly. You can call them at 406.582.3236 to get set up.

If you haven’t, we encourage you to complete the Census! So far, only about a third of Montana households have been counted. The US Census Bureau has begun sending paper questionnaires to those households not yet counted. Those questionnaires will also list an identification code with a link to an online option. Counting everyone in Montana is critical because it determines the state's share of federal funding over the next decade, and it determines whether Montana will get another representative in Congress.

Remember to wear masks when you go out as we start to open up. Let's keep that curve flat!

Take care everyone. Suzanne Held
