City Approves Cottonwood + Ida PUD

March 31, 2019
On Monday, March 25, the City Commission gave their unanimous approval for construction of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) in the Northeast Neighborhood. The project designer, Think Tank, has involved the neighborhood over the past three years in the development of the Cottonwood + Ida concept, which involves both residential and commercial spaces, with a percentage of the units set aside for those qualifying for affordable housing. Round 2 of NCOD Review: Oct. 1-3

September 17, 2018
The Community Development Department is in the process of reviewing the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District and the Historic Preservation Program. The intent of this project is to evaluate and explore potential alternatives to the NCOD and a restructure of the existing preservation program to better meet today’s community needs as the result of rapid change since the NCOD was first created. The second round of public participation events will be held at various venues October 1-3, 2018.

Listening Session on Bozeman City Safety Center

September 3, 2018
Bozeman residents will vote this November whether or not to fund the city's new proposed $36.9 million Public Safety Center. The Center would be constructed on city-owned property off of North Rouse Avenue and Oak Street (between Oak and Tamarack) and will house a fire station, the police department, municipal courts and a space for victim services and prosecution. If the bond is approved, the average taxpayer will pay a little over a $100 a year for 20-years.

More Details on NCOD Review

July 2, 2018
The Neighborhood Conservartion Overlay District (NCOD) is a zoning overlay district that was created by the City in 1991 to conserve neighborhood character and protect historic properties. The City has engaged a consultant team to conduct a comprehensive review of the NCOD. This exploration will begin with two weeks of outreach July 13th through the 24th.
